Once again I want to thank everyone for all the help that has been provided over the last year. Thank all the parents that have worked with the program. I know it is a lot of work. Thanks to all the members that have taken on jobs in the squadron and have done an excellent job. Just wanted you to know that I have been advised that we passed the unit inspection that took place over the past few weeks. I have not seen the offical report yet, but will make it available when we get it. Planning has begun for the new year. The first meeting of the new year will be Jan 9th. The first hour of the meeting will be a safety presentation given by LtCol Ryan Wallace. This is for all cadets and senior members. The second hour of the meeting will be a planning session with all senior members and the cadeet staff. We plan to tighten up the training schedule and get the information out to the member in advance, and to follow through with the training as scheduled. I have been working to get the squadron additional funding. We are making some headway. It is taking longer than planned, but we should see some results in the future. Once again I want to Thank everyone and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Phil

If you have not heard of the FAA Safety Briefing publication, I would like let you know about it. This publication comes out every two months. It is normally 35-40 pages in length. It covers many safety issue related to aviation…. And it is free. Log on to the internet. Go to :

Cessna 206Renton Squadron is working furiously to qualify observers and scanner aircrew. We have been using the 206 for in-cockpit training on the avionics which is working very well. New checkrides will be completed within a couple of weeks, weather permitting.

We encourage any and all other squadron pilots and/or aircrew to come and work with the aircraft for qualification. More pilots, more hours. This is a great plane for cadet orientation flights.
